Seasonal Flower Guide — Materials for Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter
Flowyric gives a spring, summer, autumn, or winter tag to some flowers and treats the rest as all-season materials. These tags are classifications rather than date locks, so you can add Red Camellia in midsummer or a Cherry Blossom Branch in midwinter. The four seasonal themes each have different requirements, however, so knowing which materials belong to each season makes those requirements much easier to meet. What is actually available from a florist varies by region and growing method, so do not read these tags as a guide to when flowers come into stock.
Spring — Pastels for New Beginnings
The four spring-tagged materials are Sweet Pea (Sweet memories), Blue Hyacinth (Calm love), Cherry Blossom Branch (A pure heart), and Purple Iris (Good news). Unlike the other seasonal themes, Spring Picnic does not require a spring material; it only checks whether the bouquet contains at least four different flowers. Color variants of the same flower count separately, so a Pink Tulip and a White Tulip count as two kinds.
That means a Cherry Blossom Branch with a Pink Tulip and Sweet Pea is still one kind short at three. Add one Blue Hyacinth stem to reach four, and the arrangement qualifies for Spring Picnic. Conversely, a bouquet with no spring materials at all still passes as long as it contains four kinds.
Summer — Cool Blues Set the Standard
The three summer-tagged materials are Purple Lisianthus (Unchanging love), Agapanthus (A love letter), and Rose of Sharon (Unwavering devotion). Summer Getaway requires at least one stem from this group as well as at least three blue or purple flowers.
Purple Lisianthus and Agapanthus count toward both the seasonal requirement and the color requirement because they are themselves blue or purple. The pink Rose of Sharon fulfills only the seasonal requirement. If Rose of Sharon marks the season, you need to add three cool-toned stems separately. All-season materials such as Blue Hydrangea and Delphinium are also options.
Autumn — The Season of Warm Tones and Plumes
The two autumn-tagged materials are Orange Chrysanthemum (A sincere heart) and Pampas Grass (Quiet love). Autumn Stroll requires at least one stem from this group, with yellow and orange tones making up at least half of all stems.
Orange Chrysanthemum counts as yellow or orange, while the near-white, neutral Pampas Grass does not; it only increases the denominator. Two Orange Chrysanthemums, one Sunflower, and one Pampas Grass give you three yellow or orange stems out of four, which is more than half. A Magenta Dahlia is not yellow or orange in this calculation, so choose an Orange Dahlia when you need another warm-toned flower.
Winter — A White Ground with One Point of Red
The three winter-tagged materials are Red Camellia (I love only you), Cotton (A mother's love), and Plum Blossom Branch (Noble integrity). However, the tags do not line up exactly with the real plants. Horticultural information published by North Carolina State University in the United States describes the plum blossom tree as one whose flowers open on bare branches before its leaves emerge. The January-to-February period given in the same source reflects cultivation in that region, so it should not be assumed to match the bloom time where you live. Cotton flowers in summer, after which its fruit matures and turns brown; the white cotton used in winter bouquets is not petals but seed fiber from an opened fruit.
Winter Gift requires at least one of these three materials, with white and green neutrals making up at least half of all stems. Red Camellia and Plum Blossom Branch are red and pink rather than neutral, so you need to build up the background with Cotton, Baby's Breath, and Eucalyptus. Three Red Camellias, two Cotton stems, one Baby's Breath, and one Ruscus give you four neutral stems out of seven and meet the requirement.
Region Settings and First-Visit Recommendations
Choose a region from the top bar. The seven currently available choices are Korea, Japan, China, the United States, France, Germany, and Italy. Since all seven are in the Northern Hemisphere, the seasons follow the Northern Hemisphere calendar: spring is March through May, summer is June through August, autumn is September through November, and winter is December through February. On a first visit with no saved composition, the featured recommendation for today's seasonal theme appears on the stage; if you have a saved composition, it remains in place.
Practice — Replace Pampas Grass with Eucalyptus to Compare Autumn Stroll
See how much one autumn tag affects theme evaluation. The two arrangements below differ only in their greenery, Pampas Grass or Eucalyptus; the Orange Gerberas, Yellow Tulips, and wrapping are the same. Swapping the same number of green stems keeps the total stem count, and therefore the denominator of ratio requirements, unchanged. Both materials have the Green role, so the greenery count also stays the same. Both are neutral, so neither counts toward yellow-orange colour groups or the number of bold primaries. The only value that separates them in evaluation is the autumn tag attached only to Pampas Grass. Loading an arrangement returns the theme to Free theme, so select the Autumn Stroll chip again and check the met indicator beside its requirement.
The Pampas Grass arrangement meets Autumn Stroll, while the Eucalyptus arrangement does not. Both clear the colour requirement that yellow-orange stems make up at least half, but removing the only autumn-tagged material fails the first requirement. With the same substitution, both arrangements continue to meet Get Well Soon, Cheering On, and Thank You, while both remain short of Spring Picnic. Spring Picnic counts distinct flower kinds rather than seasonal materials, and neither arrangement reaches four kinds.
Season appears in three places in this comparison, and each serves a different purpose. The autumn badge in the flower list is only a label, so you can add Pampas Grass in any season. Today's season is used to choose the recommendation placed on the stage on a first visit without a saved arrangement; it does not enter the Autumn Stroll evaluation. After completion, the gift card background first follows the selected theme. Only a theme without its own background, such as Free theme, falls back to the seasonal materials in the bouquet. Finishing under Free theme therefore gives the Pampas Grass arrangement an autumn background and the Eucalyptus arrangement a neutral one; finishing with Autumn Stroll selected gives both arrangements the autumn background.
To restore Autumn Stroll in the Eucalyptus arrangement, replace the Orange Gerberas with Orange Chrysanthemums. Orange Chrysanthemum is a yellow-orange Main flower with an autumn tag, so it preserves the colour requirement while satisfying the autumn-material requirement. Replacing all the Gerberas leaves the Get Well Soon, Cheering On, Thank You, and Spring Picnic results unchanged; replacing just one introduces a fourth flower kind, so Spring Picnic also becomes met. These results apply only to this arrangement. Ratio requirements such as at least half depend on the total stem count, and neutral greenery still enters the denominator: increasing only the Pampas Grass to six stems makes yellow-orange flowers less than half, so Autumn Stroll becomes not met.
